The Bobbin Lace Museum of Mirabella Imbaccari, founded in 1986 as a permanent exhibition, is today a unique cultural excellence in Sicily and Southern Italy.

With its 700 square meters of exhibition space, it offers a fascinating anthropological journey through the milestones of life, from birth to marriage, showcasing precious household linens and refined handcrafted works.

The institution was created with the clear purpose of protecting the local lacemakers and celebrating the identity of a town internationally known as the City of Bobbin Lace.

Today, the museum is part of the Network of Municipal Museums of Sicily and safeguards a body of knowledge and tradition proposed for UNESCO recognition.

More than an exhibition space, the museum is a living experience, able to narrate the soul, creativity, and skill of a community that transformed a simple cotton thread into true beauty.
